How to Use This Online Metronome

  1. Set your BPM using the slider, number input, or +/- buttons.
  2. Choose a time signature (2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, or 7/8).
  3. Press Play or hit Space to start the metronome.
  4. Use Tap Tempo to set the BPM by tapping along to a song or your internal rhythm.
  5. Add subdivisions (8th notes, triplets, or 16th notes) for more precise practice.
  6. Watch the pendulum and beat indicators to stay visually in time.

Understanding Tempo Markings

Tempo markings are Italian terms that describe the speed of a piece. The metronome displays the correct marking as you adjust the BPM.
